If I offered to give you $5,000 every year when you pay your taxes and all you needed to do in return was give me $2 a day ($730 per year), would you do it? Of course you would, who wouldn’t? Everybody you know would take the $5,000 a year over $2 a day.

Over the course of one year, if you don’t make a single penny with enlyten but you have $10,000 in expenses (see expense examples below) you can apply to your enlyten business, you get to deduct that $10,000 “business loss” from your $50,000 salary and pay tax on just $40,000. If you are in the 25% tax bracket, you just saved yourself $2,500 in taxes (25% of $10,000 )!

For the purposes of this example, I have assumed the worst case scenario, that you pay your $59.95 a month (about $2 a day) all year and you never sell a single enlyten product or enroll a single enlyten promoter into your enlyten team. In other words, you don’t make any money with your enlyten business. At the end of the year, you would have paid about $730 ($2 a day) for your enlyten business but you would have saved $2,500 on your taxes. This conservative example equates to an extra $2135 in your pocket at the end of the year because you are an enlyten business owner. If you make more than $50,000 a year or if you find more business expenses to deduct, you will save even more.

As a home based business owner, you can legally deduct all expenses incurred in the operation of your business. Here is a list of common items that home based business owners deduct from their taxes:

• Cell phone and home phone costs
