Healthsport Patent Approved in Mexico

This morning (February 3, 2010) Healthsport Inc., announced that the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property has approved HealthSport’s patent application relating to its bi-layer edible film strip technology.

The patent issuance opens the door for sales and distribution into Mexico, and is expected to accelerate HealthSport’s move into the international marketplace.  The Mexican market for OTC drugs is larger than that of China and is a natural next step into international sales and distribution of HealthSport’s products.

The press release goes on to say:

HealthSport currently has seven additional patent applications pending in the U.S. and several other countries.

As you may recall:

HealthSport, Inc., announced today (Dec. 2, 2008) that T. Lynn Mitchell Companies LLC (”TLM”) has acquired the registered trademarks, “Enlyten” and “Enlyten Energy”, from the Company for a purchase price of $300,000. By selling the trademarks, all products produced for and marketed by TLM will now carry the Enlyten name on its packaging.

Enlyten Stock – Healthsport HSPO

I am often asked where one can purchase shares of Enlyten stock. Let me help to clear up the enlyten stock situation.

Enlyten LLC, the enlyten strip distribution company based in Tulsa, OK is not a publicly traded company and therefore one cannot purchase shares of Enlyten LLC itself.

But, the strip products that Enlyten LLC distributes are manufactured by a publicly traded company called Healthsport, Inc. Healthsport trades under the stock symbol HSPO and is currently a “penny stock” trading for around 20 to 30 cents per share.

Although Healthsport manufactures the enlyten strip products, they also manufacture other products that are distributed by other means, so their business scope is larger than just the enlyten strip products distributed by Enlyten LLC. Having said that, Healthsport revenue figures reported since the agrement with Enlyten LLC was finalized in late 2008 have show Healthsport revenues have increased more than 10 times, year over year. This shows the massive popularity of the enlyten products have greatly improved the Healthsport, Inc bottom line.

As an investor, the best way to invest in “enlyten stock” is to purchase shares of HSPO, Healthsport stock. Additionally, I remind people to keep in mind that more than 65% of the revenue that Enlyten LLC generated from product sales through their network of distributors is returned to the distributors themselves. An additional portion of Enlyten LLC revenue goes back to pay Enlyten LLC management and employee salaries and only a small portion of Enlyten LLC sales go to pay for product from Healthsport Inc.

Tony Saeber Joins Healthsport!

Veteran University Sports Medicine Researcher Joins Healthsport, Inc. Board of Directors

CHARLOTTE, N.C., June 18, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — HealthSport, Inc. (OTCBB:HSPO), announced today that Duke University sports medicine Researcher, Anthony V. Seaber, has joined HealthSport, Inc. as a member of its Board of Directors.

Mr. Seaber was educated in England and has been on staff at Duke University for over 35 years, most recently as Director of the Orthopedic Research Laboratories. He has published over 250 scientific articles in major medical journals, and has presented research extensively in the U.S. and abroad. During his years at Duke, he worked closely with all aspects of the Duke University Healthcare System, as well as the Duke Sports Medicine Group and was instrumental in the formation of the K-Lab (The Michael J. Krzyzewski Human Performance Laboratory).

Healthsport Weight Loss Strips

In a press release this morning, Healthsport, Inc. (the manufacturer of the strip products that enlyten LLC distributes) announced the early success of their two new weight loss strip products.  enlyten LLC has already placed a second order for the appetite suppressant strip and the calorie burner strip products.

HealthSport, Inc. (OTCBB:HSPO), announced today that it has developed a weight management product line which initially includes an appetite suppressant strip and a calorie burner strip. Enlyten, which is presently distributing the two products, has already placed a second order for delivery in July, 2009.

Enlyten Patent Pending Details

We always read that enlyten is “patent-pending” but what does that really mean?  It means that an application for a patent has been submitted to ensure the strip products distributed by enlyten cannot be copied by any other manufacturer.  Even more specifically, Enlyten LLC, the network marketing company based in Tulsa, OK is not the company that has applied for the patent.  Enlyten LLC is simply the company that is doing the distribution of the “enlyten” branded products.  Enlyten LLC has partnered with a company called HealthSport, Inc. to be the exclusive distribution partner for all elnlyten branded products produced by HealthSport, Inc.

To add one more layer of confusion, HealthSport itself also did not submit the patent for the technology behind enlyten strips.  The manufacturer of enlyten strips is a sub company under HealthSport, called Innozen.
